Philodendron Splendid Plant
When it comes to evergreen vines, the Philodendron Splendid is one of the best. It grows on rocky outcrops and trees in the wild. Adding Philodendron Splendid to your garden is an excellent way to hide ugly walls or fences. As a houseplant, it’s a popular choice for bringing life and colour to boring spots. Easy to maintain, this plant can thrive in both sunny and shady locations.
Philodendron Splendid Plant Care Guide
One of the most popular house plants is the Philodendron Splendid. It is a low-maintenance plant that does well in a wide range of environments. Philodendron Splendid is an easy plant to care for. To begin with, Philodendron Splendid prefers moderate to bright light conditions. It will spread out and possibly lose its colour if it doesn’t get enough light. Try relocating it to a brighter area if this occurs. Moderate humidity is also ideal for Philodendron Splendid. The leaves may turn brown and crispy if the air is too dry. Misting the plant or putting it in a humid room will raise the humidity level around it. Tolerant of some moisture in the soil, Philodendron Splendid prefers to stay dry.
Watering Schedule
- At least once a week, the Philodendron Splendid need watering. During hot and dry conditions, it may be required to water more frequently.
- When watering a Philodendron Splendid, it's preferable to do it by sprinkling water straight onto the soil. Leaves can rot if they are damp, so be careful not to do this.
- A good rule of thumb is to water your Philodendron just enough to keep the soil moist but not saturated.
Fertilizing Philodendron Splendid
- When fertilised, Philodendron Splendid thrives as a houseplant. Spring and summer are the optimum times to apply fertiliser since the plant is actively growing.
- All-purpose fertiliser or a philodendron-specific fertiliser can be used. Fertilizer should only be applied to the soil, not the leaves, and at half the suggested strength.
- There is a risk of root burn and foliage scorch if you use too much fertiliser.
